Last day at SUN

The 1 and half month surely seemed short. So quickly, it was my last day workin at Sun Microsystems. I was v lonely at first, but my colleagues were v friendly towards me. Invitin me to join them for lunch, especially Rachel. She's a year older than I am. Maybe that's why i click better with her. Moreover, she's real nice to me. My in-charge, Nafisah, was also v patient and nice w me. We click quite well too, cuz she's abt 7 yrs older than me, i guess... We chatted pretty much and I clicked well w her cuz she's the only Malay in the whole Chinese population, who already seemed so bonded with one another. On my last day - 31st Jan, Nafisah treated me to a lunch at Swensons. We had a long conversation. I felt v much comfortable even though it was just the 2 of us. Before I left, Rachel, on behalf of the marketing dept, put together a bag of farewell gifts. Everything was Sun's goodies. In the Sun paper bag, there was a mousepad, mouse, pen, notepad, mug, calendar. Freebies leftover from events i suppose. But that's perfectly alright. Cuz it's really the tot that counts and having Sun's stuff makes these freebies really gd momentos!!Saying my last gd byes to the colleagues I worked with, I felt a lil sad. Not that I realli loved working there. It's just that they were really nice w me. Felt warmth and taken care of. But i'm even more glad thaT I NO LONGER HAVE TO WAKE UP AT 7.30AM N TAKE THE TRAIN TO CLARK QUAY EVERYDAY. YES!!!!!!

Had a short lunch w a friend I made in Australia, Permadi. He's an Indo-Chinese. And just like how everyone would think of when hearing the word "indonesian Chinese", yes, he is rich. HAHA. I don't give praises easily, especially to the person himself, so I shall say it here. Man, what's w my pride. Another pt to add in my 'New Year Resolution' checklist --- praise pple more. Permadi is a really great friend to have. He's rich, but he doesn't act yaya. He does buy expensive accessories and apparels, but he doesn't really flaunt it. He's v sociable, v comfortable to talk w and be with. He's got a lot of friends, but he makes a pt to dedicate some time for everyone. And another gd pt abt him is that he makes pple feel gd abt themselves, by lavishin them w praises. But just a lil too much. Heehee...Today, we met up for lunch. It was a working day, so he drove to my office at Clark Quay and we had lunch nearby. He was actually feeling sick, cough and flu, but he still came n have lunch w me. Minus the fact that he made me wait 30min cuz he got lost trying to find my place, it was really a gd lunch. Chat abt lotsa stuff tat happened to my friends and I. He's flying back to Melbourne on 3rd Feb. I can't see him off cuz i've to work. But again, see him off for wat?? I'll see him again when i return to Melbourne!! LOL!!!
