Shopping at Smith Street

Thursday, 5 July 2007

Smith Street is a long street in Melbourne City where lots of shops sell their stuff at a much lower price. Something like FACTORY OUTLET. I'm not sure why they're much cheaper, but I'm quite sure they're still authentic.

Woke up at 1.30pm today. Gabriel, my cousin, the eldest one here, brought me to Smith Street. We took a train and then the tram to the city. He was scouting for track pants and got one in the end - Puma track pants at $29. Thanks to me, cuz I suggested to try out that sports shop. I bought a Converse jacket at $30 and a pair of outing Nike shoes at $90. We both were satisfied with our harvest.

Took a straight bus back home. Quite a long ride. Slightly over an hour I think. It was quite dark outside that we couldn't see much clearly. I was a little afraid that we would miss our stop. Plus, Gabriel had dozed off. Luckily, we got off at the correct stop and was back by 6pm plus.

Watching wimbledon now. So deprived of sports tv back in S'pore. Cuz my family didn't subscribe to SCV. This Australian tv station is broadcasting the entire Wimbledon game. Everynight, there will be a few matches on. They show a lot of rugby here too. Getting to appreciate the game better :)
