Last Goodbye to my Colleagues
Wednesday, 30 May 2007
A few hrs ago, I waved my last gdbyes to my colleagues. It was my last day at work. It has been almost 5 months ever since I started out as an administrator at this Math tuition centre. Tuesday, the 29th of May, has been a very quick day. Recalling of myself sitting at my office desk, it's hard to believe that that was the v last time I would be speaking into that black phone and clicking my black Samsung mouse. Ten days ago, I was still counting down the days happily. Now that the day has finally arrived and left, it just feels weird.
I strolled back from my office smiling and feeling a warmth inside, a combination of emotions that I have nv experienced before. Walking out from that office, I felt that I've graduated from one of the learning phases of my life. Although I did make some blunders, I'm actually quite proud of myself. Maybe that explains the happiness and warmth.
Thanks to my amicable, understanding and supportive superiors (Michelle, Ai Ling, Norman and Jennie), I was able to work and learn in a very comfortable environment. Even when I had made big mistakes, they were still very tolerant towards me and gave me constructive suggestions. I'm also very grateful for my colleague, Ling Xiu, who was always there to lend a helping hand whenever she saw me rushing to meet deadlines. Of course there were the occasional unhappy times when I just wanted to go on non-stop with my frustrations. Haha. Still, thanks to you all, for making my first working experience so wonderful and memorable.
